Iman Foroutan

Country: United States
|
Chairman and CEO, MakeaStar.com http://www.makeastar.com
|
|
Dr. Iman Foroutan, Chairman and CEO of MakeaStar.com, is an Information
Technologist, songwriter, and independent label executive.
A few years ago Iman recognized the need for a different kind of musical outlet
on the Internet. His unique background made him keenly aware that most talent
searches and music ranking systems operating on the web were flawed, because
they were either based solely on downloads or relied too heavily on the opinions
of the music industry. He believed a balance could be struck. The result is the
patent-pending MakeaStarTM system (www.makeastar.com and www.FirstBuzz.com), the
first website of its kind to offer Artists sincere criticism from industry
professionals while also giving them a chance to establish solid relationships
with music lovers worldwide through time-based online tournament contests.
MakeaStar’s recent achievement is the launch of its next generation “Bracket-X”
technology, capable of creating, publishing, and managing large number of
simultaneous online games of skill, popularity contests, and market research,
all in the form of time-based tournament contests (www.sizzlefizzle.com). The
Net10 National Audition Contest utilizes the Make A Star Bracket-X system.
